I hadn't thought of characters in this way before unpacking this quote, but it gives a useful perspective.Penny Grubbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10321603664734033057noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-827279952253758591.post-84619173578674473012017-04-23T10:38:55.095+01:002017-04-23T10:38:55.095+01:00I never thought of characters in terms of a repert...I never thought of characters in terms of a repertory company. Thanks for the reminder! Meanwhile, my current WIP involves fewer characters, but some of those aren't human!stuartaken.nethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05695584662320617659noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-827279952253758591.post-31889791566291040572017-02-12T13:06:54.008+00:002017-02-12T13:06:54.008+00:00Ah yes, I'm familiar with your mega-casts, Stu...Ah yes, I'm familiar with your mega-casts, Stuart. The Seared Sky trilogy springs to mind - https://www.fantasticbooksstore.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=seared. My fantasy series has a cast of named characters numbering over 110, each of whom has a written character sketch with picture, description and some background history. But, essentially, I imagine most are mixtures of people I've known personally or come stuartaken.nethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05695584662320617659noreply@blogger.com
